Scalp micropigmentation is a brilliant solution that has been developed for scar concealment. While we all pick up scars as we go through life, we know that scarring on the scalp can be an especially tricky thing to go through.
It’s never been easier to conceal scars on the scalp, and we can help with all different types of scarring. Whether your scars are from FUT or FUE, surgery, or accidents – our team can help.
We didn’t go to magic school, but we certainly know a few vanishing tricks.

Our Process
Wondering what the different stages of SMP treatment are? Below is our process. All you have to do to get started is book a consultation.
Initial Consultation
This is where we get to know you. Our practitioners will take the time to understand the look you want, and your scalp condition. Then, we’ll show you how our SMP solution can achieve what you’re looking for.
From here, we’ll create a customised SMP plan that takes several things into account; things like your hairline, desired hair density, and general aesthetic.
First
Treatment
The big day has arrived. On your treatment day, we’ll begin by ensuring you’re comfortable and all your questions are answered. We’ll then use state-of-the-art equipment to apply pigment to the upper dermis of your scalp.
At the end of this precise process, you’ll leave the clinic with instant results. Immediate impact is the great promise of SMP treatment.
Follow-Up Procedures
In the majority of cases, you’ll need a second appointment in order to get the full effect of your SMP treatment. While the first treatment will provide the bulk of the look, SMP is about precision; and we’re perfectionists.
So in the follow-up procedures, we’ll add touch-ups and fill out the look with adjustments to the density and darkness of the pigment. One month after the second session, a third is often recommended to apply the finishing touches.
Post-Treatment Care
Part of the SMP HQ difference is our after-care and support. We’ll provide you with comprehensive post-care instructions. With this info, our clients achieve long-lasting outcomes with optimal healing times.
From here, our clients may choose to have periodic touch-ups down the track. These can be expected every 3-5 years. But we’re always happy for our clients to get in touch and ask questions.
Will I be able to wear my hair short after scar concealment?
You will! Many of our clients are concerned about having short hair for fear of showing their scars. After our SMP treatment, you can have it as short as you like.
Is SMP painful?
Pain is subjective, but we’d say that most of our clients don’t find SMP to be painful. Some even fall asleep during the procedure!
Is SMP better for recent or older scars?
SMP works great on both new and old scars. The only caveat is that the scar needs to be properly healed, but otherwise, SMP can be done at any stage.
Can SMP conceal the scars from my previous hair transplant?
Yes absolutely. A large portion of our scar concealment work is centred around concealing scars from FUT and FUE treatments.
